Introduction



The Door to Door Council exists to promote the use of door drops as an efficient medium for communicating information and advertising to consumers.

Door to Door Council members take their consumer governance responsibilities seriously, through compliance with industry codes and high best practice standards. Dedicated to raising the stature and increasing the understanding of door drops to the DMA's many audiences, the Council has funded research into the medium, highlighting consumer perceptions and providing a clear industry voice.

The overriding objectives of the Council are:
  • To set and maintain high standards for industry best practice, encouraging the effective self-regulation.

  • To represent the industry and members to the public at large

  • To provide help and support to members in regulatory, legal and political matters.

  • To be the focal point and primary source of information concerning the door to door industry.

  • To raise awareness and increase usage of the medium within the marketing mix
For door to door practitioners, membership of the DMA is assurance that the member is capable of providing a service that meets the prevailing standards within the industry, enhancing the reputation of the industry as a whole.
